Who am I?

I am a research scientist, currently living in Washington, D.C., USA. My first backpacking adventure was through western Europe in September 2000. I visited 8 countries in 24 days, and ever since, I've had a lust for travel. In May of 2004, I went to Kyoto, Japan for a conference, and spent my two week vacation time exploring Japan, South Korea, and China. Just before that trip, I began this website, and throughout the trip, I maintained this website, posting stories and photos of my trip as it happened. My goal is to continue doing the same with each new and exciting traveling adventure.
